In short
Year-end accomplishment reports are long. People share single numbers. I pulled three figures from the department's 2015 results and gave each one its own graphic under the country's campaign line, "It's More Fun in the Philippines."
The three numbers
Each graphic carries one figure as published by the department, one line of context, and a photo that shows the number in human terms.
- 5.36 million international visitors in 2015, over a photo of travelers mid-jump beside a jeep.
- 4.99 million Filipinos employed in the tourism industry, over a lineup of resort staff on the beach.
- USD 5 billion in revenue from international visitors, over a city skyline at night.

Design choices
The number sits in a boxed headline at the top, where a thumb-scrolling reader sees it first. The campaign line sits at the bottom in the campaign's own colors, so the series reads as part of the national brand. Photos came from contributing photographers and are credited on each graphic.
What I took from this job
Government communications taught me to write for readers who did not ask to hear from you. I keep one number per graphic and a source I can defend, and I still apply that to every stat in a client's content. During this role I also completed the Pacific Asia Travel Association's digital marketing workshop in April 2016.
